Biography:

Hassan Haji Mohamoud also known as Hassan Gadhweyneh as of 2003 is the Minister of Education of Somaliland. He was appointed the post in July 2003 by the current President of Somaliland Dahir Riyale Kahin. He has previously served as the Governor of Saaxil between 1997 and 2003 and as the Mayor of Berbera from 1997 until 2003. Earlier he served as the Vice-Mayor of Mogadishu from 1982 until 1991 and was a member of the Somali Parliament between 1981 and 1988.
