Zainatuddin of Aceh

Biography:

Paduka Seri Baginda Sultana Zainatuddin Kemalat Shah binti al-Marhum Raja Umar Sultana of Aceh Darussalam. She was a daughter of Raja Umar bin Sutan Muda Muhammad Muhidudin. Succeeded to the Throne after the death of her foster sister HM Sultana Zaqiyatudin Inayat Shah in 1688. She is married to Sayid Ibrahim. She was deposed on the grounds that Islam forbade women from ruling in October 1699.
