Biography:
Sun Yuting was Governor-general of Jiangxi Jiangsu and Anhui and at the same time served as a grand councillor. Yuting was a native of Chi-ning in Shantung. His father was Sun Kuo-tu. Yuting graduated as chin shin in 1775. Yuting became Viceroy at Nanking when in 1824 a breach in the Yellow River embankment caused his dismissal.
