Mazhar Imam

Biography:

Mazhar Imam born in Darbhanga District of Bihar in the year 1928 was an Urdu poet and critic. After obtaining M. A. degree in Urdu from University of Magadh and M. A degree in Persian from University of Bihar he joined Carvan a Kolkata Daily in 1951 and thereafter worked as a school teacher before joining All India Radio in 1958 which institution he served for three decades. He retired as Director Doordarshan Srinagar in the year 1988.
