Khasan Israilov

Biography:

Khasan Israilov was a Chechen nationalist guerrilla fighter journalist and poet who led a Chechen and Ingush resistance and rebellion against the Soviet Union from 1940 until his death in 1944. Israilov is regarded as the most influential Chechen resistance leaders during World War II and he is considered by many Chechens to be a national hero.
