Biography:

Ian Lawrence is a Scottish bodybuilding champion who won the 1975 Mr. Universe competition. Lawrence was born on September 21 1947. He initially began weight training while playing rugby for the Kelso Firsts when he was a young man. At the age of 16 Lawrence began bodybuilding and in the years that followed won several local physique contests. In 1970 he won the Mr. Scotland contest and in 1975 he became the first Scottish bodybuilder in nearly 20 years to win Mr.
