Frank A. Montgomery

Biography:

Alexander Montgomery was born on January 7 1830 in Adams County Mississippi. He was first a lieutenant colonel and then a colonel commanding the First Mississippi Cavalry during the American Civil War from 1861 to 1865. He wrote an autobiography in 1901 called Reminiscences of a Mississippian in Peace and War which is now in the public domain in the United States because it was published before 1923.
