Mike Smith (born March 22 1982) is a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender who plays for the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League (NHL). He has previously played for the Dallas Stars and Tampa Bay Lightning. He is the eleventh goaltender in NHL history to score a goal which he did in the 2013–14 season against the Detroit Red Wings in Phoenix. He was named to the 2014 Canadian Olympic Hockey Team winning a gold medal at the 2014 Winter Olympics.
