Emi Kaneko (金子 恵美, Kaneko Emi, born July 7, 1965) is a *anese politician of the Democratic Party of *an, a member of the House of Councillors in the Diet (national legislature). A native of *ushima Prefecture, she did her undergraduate study at Hosei University and later earned master's degrees from California State University, Fresno and *ushima University. After serving in the town *embly of Hobara, *ushima for two terms and the city *embly of Date, *ushima, she was elected to the House of Councillors for the first time in 2007.
