Jean-Luc Reitzer

French politician

Jean-Luc Reitzer (born 29 December 1951 in Altkirch) is a French politician of the Republicans who has been serving as a member of the National *embly of France since 1988, representing the 3rd cons*uency of the Haut-Rhin department.

In parliament, Reitzer serves on the Committee on Foreign Affairs. In addition to his committee *ignments, he is a member of the French-Bahrain Parliamentary Friendship Group, the French-Djibouti Parliamentary Friendship Group, and the French-Turkish Parliamentary Friendship Group.

He served as conseiller départemental of Haut-Rhin from 1979 to 2002, and as Mayor of Altkirch from 1983 to 2017.

Reitzer was tested positive for COVID-19 on 5 March 2020. He subsequently spent two and a half months in hospital being treated for the effects of the virus.
