Díaz represented Uruguay in Miss Universe 2008.In winning the Miss Universo Uruguay 2008 pageant she received US$ 10000 a motorcycle a ticket to Miami jewels and beauty treatments. In May Díaz received an integral preparation in Colombia for her participation in Miss Universe 2008.
