Danielle Kirsten Muriel Castaño (born August 21 1989) is a Filipino beauty queen and represented the Philippines in the Miss World 2008 pageant. She was the crowd favorite in the Binibining Pilipinas 2008 pageant winning five awards from the major sponsors and placing as 1st runner-up.On October 2 2008 she was appointed as the new official candidate of the Philippines to Miss World following the resignation of the original winner Janina San Miguel.
