Emma Suárez Bodelón (born 25 June 1964) is a Spanish actress. She has won twice the Goya Award for Best Actress, namely for her performances in the Pilar Miró's 1996 film El perro del hortelano and in the 2016 Pedro Almodóvar's film Julieta.

Biography

She was born on 25 June 1964 in Madrid. Raised in a family with no significant connection to acting, Suárez attended her first casting at age 14. Her debut performance thus was in Memorias de Leticia Valle. In 1987 she appeared in Joaquín Sabina's videoclip, Así estoy yo sin ti. Her first starring role was in 1989 in Blanca Paloma by Juan Miñón. Suarez landed a starring role in the 2016 Pedro Almodóvar film Julieta.

Family

Suárez is married to director Juan Estelrich; the couple has a child.
