g Lequan is a Chinese politician currently serving as the Deputy Chair of the Political and Legislative Affairs Committee of the Communist Party of China. He was a prominent regional leader in Xinjiang China serving as the Region's Communist Party chief between 1994 and 2010. From 2004 he has also served as a member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of China.
