Peter Johannes Potgieter

Biography:

Peter Johannes Potgieter was a South African Boer political figure. He served as the acting head of state of Zoutpansberg between 1852 and 1854. He was the first son of Andries Potgieter. He married Elsie Maria Aletta van Heerden whom married Pres. Stephanus Schoeman the second president of South-Africa after Pieter Johannes's death. He grew up in a high society lifestyle and became the starting point of one of South-Africa's most famous and high aristocratic families.
