Aliyu Obaje

Biography:

Alhaji Aliyu Ocheja Obaje was the paramount ruler of the Igala Kingdom in Nigeria. He held the title of Attah Igala. Tha Attah's palace is located in the ancient city Idah. Born in 1920 Aliyu Obaje was the youngest person to be installed as Attah Igala; he mounted the stool at the age of 36 on October 20 1956 following the death of his predecessor Ameh Oboni. He was one of the longest-serving monarch in Nigeria.
