Biography:
Ali Tanrıyar is a Turkish politician former interior minister of Turkey and former chairman of the Turkish sports club Galatasaray. After graduating from Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine he worked as consultant in Taksim Hospital. He was one of the founders of Motherland Party and twice elected as member of national parliament. He was the Interior Minister of Özal government. In 1986 he was elected as Galatasaray president until 1990.
