Lyubomyr Halchuk (born 18 September 1981) is a professional Ukrainian football defender who plays for FC Vorkuta in the Canadian Soccer League.

Career

Ukraine

Halchuk began his football career in 2001 with FC Volyn Lutsk in the Ukrainian First League. He also spend time with Lutsk junior team FC Kovel-Volyn Kovel. He had stints with FC Ikva Mlyniv, FC Polissya Zhytomyr, and FC Hazovyk-Skala Stryj. In 2006, he signed with FC Lviv, and helped the club achieve a promotion to the Ukrainian Premier League in 2008. After playing a home match on Saturday, 16 August 2008, against rivals Vorskla Poltava, Lybomyr was named by UA-Football as one of the two best central defenders of the fifth round in the Ukrainian Premier League.

In 2010, he returned to the Persha Liha to play with FC Helios Kharkiv. He finished off his career in Ukrainian football with FC Tytan Armyansk, FK Lapaevka, FC Mykolaiv, and NK Veres Rivne.

Canada

In 2016, he went abroad to sign with FC Ukraine United of the Canadian Soccer League. The following season he played with FC Vorkuta. In his second season with Vorkuta he *isted in securing the CSL Championship. In 2020, he *isted in securing Vorkuta's second CSL Championship after defeating Scarborough SC. In 2021, he *isted in securing Vorkuta's third regular season *le, and secured the ProSound Cup against Scarborough. He also played in the 2021 playoffs where Vorkuta was defeated by Scarborough in the championship final.
