Masahisa Sato (佐藤 正久, Satō Masahisa, born October 23, 1960) is a *anese politician of the Liberal Democratic Party, a member of the House of Councillors in the Diet (national legislature). A native of *ushima Prefecture, he graduated from National Defense Academy of *an with a major in applied physics and joined the *an Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF). In the JGSDF, he was the commander of the *anese Iraq Reconstruction and Support Group. After his retirement as colonel in 2007, he was elected to the House of Councillors for the first time in 2007.
