First ever series within the Degrassi franchise which immediately preceded Degrassi Junior High. The show followed a group of children living on Toronto's Degrassi Street.
Trivia:
A number of short films aired as after-school specials on CBC in 1979, 1980, 1981 and 1982 helped the series grow.
