About:
A woman in her 60s loses everything amidst the Great Recession. When her husband passes away she takes off for the American West living a nomadic lifestyle out of converted van. The film was directed by Chloé Zhao.
Trivia:
The film is based upon Jessica Bruder's 2017 non-fiction book Nomadland: Surviving America in the Twenty-First Century. It won the Best Motion Picture - Drama and Best Director awards at the 2021 Golden Globes.
